DR. WILLIAM HEIMER: Portrait is another very exciting treatment that we've had the great opportunity to use in the last couple of years. We were one of the first people to use the Rhytec machine in San Diego County. We have a very long and good history with it with extremely happy patients. The most exciting thing about Portrait treatments are that you can do the treatment today and even a year from now see continued progress with especially the skin tightening, and that's the thing that most patients have been most gratified by, and the thing that we're most excited about as well.

The Rhytec Portrait Plasma Resurfacing eliminates a lot of the brown spots and a lot of wrinkling that you see in the face. Down time is approximately seven days, and some areas we go particularly aggressively because there are really deep wrinkles, we might have down time a little bit longer than that, but it's worth it because the change is absolutely dramatic. And it can affect the eyelid area both above and below, the upper lip lines, the sagging of the jowl, sagging of the neck. So when you look at it in total as far as what you can do with the Portrait, it's a very comprehensive treatment and allows you to cover a lot of bases so you get your bang for your buck, so to speak.

One of the things we like about Portrait as well is that you have the ability to do low energy treatments, so you can do much less aggressive treatment over multiple visits which allow you to have much less down time, maybe even a weekend or so, and still get accumulative results that you'll be very impressed with.

DR. DARREN FARNESI: Portrait is a plasma resurfacing so it's not a laser resurfacing, but it's actually using plasma or energy or heat, but you're doing the same thing. We're resurfacing the face, neck or chest. It basically helps with brown spots, red spots, tightens around the eyes, around the mouth. What it's doing is causing a wound to create collagen, to stimulate collagen growth.
