DR. HEIMER: Volumalift is an exciting new concept. It's been in development over the last several years and we're just getting better and better and better at it all the time. And it's a concept of actually restoring youthfulness and attractiveness and vitality to the face by enhancing the lost volume of the face, and so the areas that you think of when you look in the mirror and you see shadows and indentions where you used to have nice rolled convex surfaces, those are the areas we're talking about restoring. So we're talking about restoring volume to the face, and you can do it in all the areas that you see those volume losses like the eyebrow, the lateral eye, the check area, even do a nose job. You can straighten the nose and improve volume loss over the nose and nasal tip.

The typical areas where people think about Volumalifting has always been the parentheses around the mouth, the angles that you see when you smile, but just extend that concept to include all the areas. One of the other areas where we see great improvement with Volumalifting is just in the pre-jowl sulcus, which is just below the angles of the mouth where you sometimes see that little indention in the jowl, and with one quick little injection you can really make that go away and make the jowl angle sharpen and crispen and it can take years off a face with one little injection. It's absolutely phenomenal to see the before and after pictures. But the concept can be applied to many different areas. And the other area that it's commonly used, or where this method is commonly used, is in the cheek area. And with simple injections, either intraorally, so you don't have any bruising to the skin, or through the skin, you can actually just completely replace the lost cheek that you had. It can be done in a matter of minutes. Medicines that we use generally have anesthesia in them so there's very little or no discomfort or pain after a procedure is done, and we usually use topical anesthesia if we have to go through the skin.
