Portrait®

Dr. Heimer is proud to offer Portrait®, a revolutionary, non-invasive procedure to smoothen wrinkles and enhance both skin tone and texture. Unlike other treatments that rejuvenate at the skin’s surface, Portrait® initiates regeneration in the skin’s underlying layers. Results are noticeable shortly after treatment and continue to improve over time.

Portrait® technology works by directing plasma energy to the treatment area without directly contacting the skin. Therefore, the outer layers of skin are preserved and serve as a protective covering until the new skin regenerates. This process stimulates an increase in collagen growth, which tightens and smoothes the skin for a more youthful appearance.

Portrait® has been clinically tested and proven safe and effective.
Treatment typically takes about an hour and is performed under local anesthesia. There are two different options availabe: a low energy option which is
done three to four times and has about 5 days of down time. The second
option is a higher energy setting which is done once and needs seven to
ten day of down time.

The Rhytec Portrait is far superior to other resurfacing procedures. The Fraxel does not produce as much of a tightening effect. Thermage is a much longer treatment protocol and it does not address skin irregularites such as pigment and blemishes. Titan is an infrared device that has a more varible response and is less likely to improve skin irregularites such as intermediate wrinkles and blemishes. “Thanks for recommending the Portrait PSR laser treatment. The results are more dramatic than any other treatment I have had previously. My skin is tighter, smoother and I have less fine wrinkles.”
